Simba Mushete is at the forefront of promoting African music and culture in Australia. He is originally from KweKwe Zimbabwe a country which for many years has been the crossroad of African popular musicians like Dr Oliver Tuku Mtukudzi ,Tongai Moyo and Bob Nyabinde. Music plays an important role in the culture of the African community. Simba is a composer/song writter who started his music career when he was a little boy singing in an church choir,composing catholic church hymns and helping the local choral groups in schools and churches around Zimbabwe.The group peforms jazz, r&b, pop, gospel, and reggae with an influence from Zimbabwes Superstars
Inspired by Zig Zag Band,which is a local band in Kwekwe Zimbabwe,Simba grew up listening and admiring the Chigiyo Music with songs like Gomo Ramasare and Mudzimu Mukuru being an ispiration to most Amaveni and Kwekwe residents.The group had so many talented musicians ie the likes of Emmanuel Nkomo(late),Gilbert Zvamaida (Lead Guitarist at Thomas Mapfumo & The Blacks Unlimited ) and Steven Lunga who is still playing with Zig Zag band

Michael has worked with many leading African, Reggae, Jazz and Soul artists, such as Chris Gudu, Gervais Koffi and the African Diaspora, Afro Moses, Darren Percival, Pat Powell, The 10 Guitar Project, Dr Feel good, Soul Motel, and many more.
Michael has also toured extensively, both within Australia and internationally including trips to South Africa, New Zealand and East Timor.
